Just a few personal thoughts on FISA, Obama et al.
I read a lot here on Kos. Sometimes themes come up which cause me to stop and think about what goes on here (in the US), compared with my UK upbringing.
The story about the Press failure to report the Military Experts role in the rush to war was one such.
So I occasionally diary about such er .. musings.
Please bear with me, and correct me where I am wrong. How else am I to learn?
News indeed from the Reddest of Red States
Just a personal view of the events of the week. Racism is a charge I am slow and reluctant to level. Often it is a term that is too quickly employed in opposition to a comment, a policy or a person.
However, the race card has been played and this is my perspective (in brief)

I think the title is relevant. If anyone feels it profane please feel free to change it. I hope the point is not lost
A very short diary, and not my usual style, but I couldn't resist
In the midst of this frenetic election cycle, is there time and space to wonder how it might be done just a little differently.
A few unformed thoughts really. Shoot 'em done or pose alternatives, either way I will learn a little more
Wryly amusing tale of my stupidity, but with a sad conclusion about education around these 'ere parts.
Oh ... Oklahoma again. I refuse to believe that Oklahomans are stupid. But they either swallow this crap, or believe it. Anyway, it's a small matter in the Grand Scheme of Things, but so typical of the battle needing to be won.
We are a small family in Middle America. Sometimes, America bites us in the ass. Just a few thoughts
I hear this a lot. It's kinda a no-brainer around Kos, and don't get me wrong, I lean towards the simple answer, yes
On the other hand, not all do, and the question isn't a simple one ...
My wife and I are on a journey of discovery. Any good marriage is that, but we are also discovering that attitudes can be changed. First though, they have to be understood. Tonight, a little understanding happened.
I diary stuff for my own process of making sense of it all. Sometimes we struggle, being Liberal and living right on the Buckle of the Bible Belt .... I post this because I know that others here face the same struggle, and in posting hope that y'all feel just a little bit less alone :)
The duality of this day
